It seems Santa can’t get enough of downtown Huntsville.
He toured down Main Street last week for the Santa Claus Parade, and now Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Kent Park (at the corner of Main and Brunel) on two upcoming dates so their legions of young fans can say hello, drop off their wish list or a letter in the direct-to-Santa mailbox, and pause to let mom or dad snap a photo.
Kent Park has been beautifully transformed into Gingerbread Lane for the occasion in a partnership between the Downtown Huntsville BIA, Christmas Tyme, and Mellissa Smith Custom Cakes.
“It’s something for the kids to look forward to while they’re downtown shopping with their parents,” says Downtown BIA manager, Morgan Richter.
Stop in and take a break while you do your Christmas shopping downtown―one of the best gifts you can give a locally owned store is your business.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Kent Park on Saturday, December 7 from 12-2 p.m. and on Saturday, December 14 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. There will not be a photographer on site, but families are welcome to snap as many photos as they want. This event is free of charge courtesy of the Downtown Huntsville BIA.
