Rotary Nydock Dockfest manages to raise more than $20,000!

Last year, Rotary Dockfest returned after a four-year absence. While it was a big success, organizers are saying this year’s Rotary Nydock Dockfest, held on July 12, 2025, was bigger and better.

Thousands of people crowded on the Town docks and the Huntsville Swing Bridge to watch 38 tubs vie for the title of ‘Dockfest Champion.’

The tubs raced over two rounds, with the top seven competing in the final. This year’s champion? Drum roll please…. the tub from Core Health!

In between races, stunt drivers on jet skis performed flips and dips to entertain the crowd. Due to intense competition, more tubs were flipped this year, causing the North Country Contracting pit crew, under the leadership of chief mechanic Warren Stewart, to be on their toes throughout the afternoon.

New this year was the professional water ski show with barefoot, slalom and trick skiers wowing the crowd, featuring a series of jumps and flips.

Sponsored by Simply Cottage from Bracebridge, this show is sure to return next year.

Overall, the Rotary Club of Huntsville was able to raise in excess of $20,000 from the afternoon, largely due to corporate sponsorships and the numerous investments of both money and expertise from their event partners, NyDock and Pipefusion.

These funds will be used to support local projects in and around the Huntsville community.

The Rotary Club of Huntsville extends a special thank you to the Huntsville Municipal Accommodation Tax Association (HMATA) for providing financial support, which enabled Rotary to purchase new motors and perform extensive repairs on the tubs. This support ensures that Dockfest will return in the summer of 2026 and beyond.
