Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 20 and plan to participate in the Rotary Club of Huntsville’s Annual Christmas Auction.
The auction will be broadcast live on TV Cogeco Cable 10 starting at noon and running to 4pm. It is also available through the auction web site at www.huntsvillerotaryauction.com.
The auction offers over 290 items with a combined value in excess of $55,000 that have been donated by local businesses and individuals throughout the community. Donations include golf packages for the Deerhurst Highlands and Mark O’Meara courses, art and entertainment items, dining gift certificates, tools, electronics and items for the home and garden. As in past years, the auction will end with the chance to bid on a fly-in fishing trip for four to Northern Ontario. New this year is a Romantic Getaway Package from the beautiful Couples Resort.

The auction is a great way to do your Christmas shopping early. In addition to offering gift items in all price ranges, the auction also offers you the opportunity to get some great deals and not pay taxes. Most importantly, you will be shopping locally and recognizing the contributions of the many local businesses who contributed items in support of the Huntsville Rotary Club’s fundraising efforts!
Bids can only be accepted online and you must register to bid, even if you were signed up last year. In fact, the web site is currently open for bidding. Visit www.huntsvillerotaryauction.com now to review the items and to place bids. Successful bidders can pick up and pay for their items at the auction depot on the day of the auction, or on the Monday and Tuesday following. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
The Rotary Christmas Auction is a principal fundraiser for the Huntsville Rotary Club and is essential to raise the funds necessary for the club to continue to do the good works of Rotary in our community and beyond over the coming year.
