Remembrance Day parades and observances

Residents are reminded that the annual Remembrance Day parade, organized by the Huntsville Legion, will take place today, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, impacting traffic downtown. 

The parade will result in a rolling road closure from 11:45 am to 12:10 pm along the route which includes: 

  • Veterans Way from Burnel Road to West Street South
  • West Street South from Veterans Way to Main Street East
  • Main Street East from West Street South to River Street
  • River Street and Princess Street to Brunel Road
  • Brunel Road from Princess Street to Veterans Way 

The parade will have a police escort, and we anticipate increased pedestrian traffic due to parade spectators. Please exercise caution and drive slowly in the area. 

Dorset Community Remembrance Day observance

Location: Tapscott-Lopes Park, Dorset 1047 Main St, Dorset

Time: 10:40 am – 12:00 pm

A community event on Remembrance Day will take place at Tapscott Lopes (Pavilion) Park in Dorset, sponsored by Knox United Church, and then move to the Memorial Rock at Dorset Parkette for the moment of silence. Followed by refreshments at Knox Church Community Hall, 1012 Harvey Ave.  

Burk’s Falls Remembrance Day observance

A Remembrance Day observance will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the Burk’s Falls Cenotaph located at 188 Ontario Street with a reception to follow at the Legion at 11:45 am.
