Project Porchlight is back for its 27th year in support of the Salvation Army food bank

The Town of Huntsville is proud to announce the Salvation Army 27th Annual Food Drive will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, starting at 6:00pm. The Food Drive is in conjunction with Huntsville, Lake of Bays, Dwight, Dorset, Port Cunnington, Hillside, Interlaken, Burk’s Falls, Emsdale, Novar, Sprucedale and Kearney Fire Departments, Du-Ya Wanna Snowmobile Club, Huntsville OPP, Muskoka Ambulance, Stephenson District Lions Club and the Motorcyclists of Muskoka.

Watch and listen for the fire trucks as they go door to door to collect healthy non-perishable food items. Leave your porch light on and Santa with the help of the fire departments and others will pick up your food donation. Food items that are collected during the food drive will be distributed within the community throughout the year.

Food donations may also be dropped off at the following locations: Huntsville Fire Hall Station #1, The Salvation Army, Port Sydney Fire Hall and the Lake of Bays Fire Halls.

Please donate healthy non-perishable food items and help to keep food on the tables for members of our community.
