Staff at ProActive Rehab wanted a fun way to raise funds for the upcoming Hike for Hospice (May 1). Team member Krista Thorpe suggested a pie-in-the-face competition: the two highest donors to the cause would each get to throw a pie in the face of the team members who raised the most money.
Those donors were John Tomlinson and Ian Dique who got to deliver those pies to the faces of Stacey Van Schyndel, who raised $306, and Marlee Moore, who raised $316, respectively.
Together, the team has raised $1205.38 as of today (April 29) – quadruple their original $300 goal – with more expected leading up to the hike on Sunday.
