Police conduct an evidence search in relation to Kyle Ball

Huntsville OPP assisted by K9 units and an Emergency Response Team were on scene at Silver Sands Road this afternoon, Friday, Aug. 26, conducting an evidence search in relation to Sunday’s firearm incident in Huntsville’s West End.

In the incident, a male was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries involving a firearm. Police say an altercation took place at an apartment building on Main St. West that resulted in a man being injured by gunfire.

Kyle Ball, 29, of Huntsville was charged in the incident. The charges included two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to his probation order, possession of a weapon for dangerous use, pointing a firearm, uttering death threats, careless use of a firearm, fail to comply with a probation order, as well as possession of a schedule one substance and marijuana.

It is alleged that Ball may have been living or staying at a trailer park in the Silver Sands Road area although that information has not been confirmed. Police are expected to continue their investigation and release further information as it becomes available.
