A recent art workshop at Huntsville’s Boston Pizza has raised $2000 to promote the arts for young girls.
More than 40 arts enthusiasts joined artist and University of Winnipeg visual arts teacher Andrea Stuart to create their own works in the style of Brazillian pop artist Romero Britto. Britto has garnered international recognition for his vibrant paintings and was also named an ambassador for the Rio Olympics. Each participant in the workshop took home their own Britto-inspired masterpiece.

“It was a fun evening and the money is going toward a terrific cause,” says Mary Spring, who organized the event. “The money raised will go toward the YWCA Girlz Unplugged program and we would like the funds to promote the arts.”
