Each week, Huntsville’s own Grant Nickalls will inspire us, entertain us, make us laugh or perhaps cry, but always he will remind us why Huntsville is the best place on earth to call home.
This week in Our Town, Grant weighs in on the controversial Pipe Man. Do you agree with him?

I’m disappointed that the art work is not seen from shore but for safety sake I would like to see it moved to an area where there are not as many boats.
How about at the point on Fairy Lake where the Huntsville Hertitage train passengers and The Lions Lookout visitors can view the Pipe man.
Well now. I enjoy listening to my friend, Grant and pretty well all know, he has lived here much longer than I have. I enjoyed his “rant” if one can call it that – not sure about its positivity or not though – I agree with our Mayor that any good piece of art draws both its detractors as well as those who see the art through the material used to create it. I thank Jan and Beverley for their creation. Long live the Pipe Man and art .
