OPP requests public’s help in serious assault on Princess Street that sent two to hospital

On January 3, 2016 at just after 3:30 am, Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of an assault that had taken place at a residence on Princess Street in Huntsville.

Two people sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital by Muskoka EMS. One has since been released and the other still remains with non-life threatening injuries.

The responding officers located and arrested four males in the area of the residence. As a result of the initial investigation Jesse Hickey (21yrs), Brice Inwood (20yrs), and Cameron Simpson (20yrs) from Huntsville have since been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon. All three are being held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on January 4, 2016to answer to their charges.

The investigation is continuing by the Muskoka Crime Unit with the assistance of Central Region Forensic Unit.

The Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Princess Street later on the evening of January 2 and early hours of January 3.
