On August 15, 2018 the Huntsville Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the Bracebridge CSCU and the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a Main Street West address.
During the execution of this warrant, two parties were arrested. Over $8,000 worth of controlled substances including cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and prescription pills were seized. Police also seized over $2,400 in currency.
As a result of this investigation the following people have been charged:
Pierre Oliver ELLIS (31) of Scarborough, Ontario
Three (3) counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule IV Substance – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – S. 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Richard Daniel FIRTH (30) of Huntsville, Ontario
Three (3) counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession of a Schedule IV Substance – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Fail to Comply with Undertaking contrary to Section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The two accused were held in custody for a bail hearing in the Town of Bracebridge on August 15, 2018.
