Muskoka woman pleads guilty to mischief and uttering threats

A 43-year-old woman has pleaded guilty in a Bracebridge courtroom to mischief and uttering threats following a disturbance at a convenience store last summer.

Crystal Clark admitted to damaging store merchandise and displays at a Circle K location and threatening to kill two people during the incident.

Court heard the events took place on July 2, 2025, when Ontario Provincial Police were called to the store after reports of a woman yelling at customers and staff and pushing over shelves. During an altercation with two individuals, Clark threatened to kill them.

Police intervened and were able to gain control of Clark at the scene. Due to concerns that she was experiencing the effects of drug ingestion, she was taken to hospital for assessment.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the disturbance.

As part of her sentence, Clark received a suspended sentence and was placed on probation for 15 months. The probation order includes standard conditions, which typically require the individual to keep the peace, appear in court when required, and comply with any treatment or counselling directives.
