The final stretch of the summer season is on for the various Muskoka United Football Club (MUFC) rep teams in their respective leagues. In fact, some of the younger age teams are already done for the year.
Whether it’s the many teams competing in the Huronia District Soccer League (HDSL) or the couple of teams fighting for points in Ontario I-Model divisions, they’ve all put forth a lot of effort throughout the year.
I-Model
The U17 Boys picked up their first C2 Division win on August 28, 4-0 over xxx, at Gostick Park in Bracebridge.
A strong team effort in all aspects of the game led to the dominant victory. Wesley Janas, Lucas Hills, Dante Occhiuzzi, and Robert Thomas scored for Muskoka with Alex Rasmussen picking up the clean sheet in goal.
Up next the boys travel south to the GTA on September 4 to take on Jarvis before a September 7 match away to Markham. They finish their season at Gostick Park on September 11 against Kleinburg.
The U15 Boys, playing in the C3 Division, were on a bye week last week. They finish their season with a pair of away matches: September 3 at Aurora and September at Newmarket.

Coach Joe Melson says he was very happy with the way the season went this year. “What a great season, you’ve come a long way, gentlemen, you should be proud!”
With one game remaining, the U14 Girls are still in top spot in their league despite a 4-0 loss to North Bay on August 27. Up next is an away game against South Simcoe United on September 3, and a win could wrap up the league depending on the other teams’ results.
The U15 Girls, playing in a U16 division and coming off winning the HDSL Cup for their age group, picked up a solid 4-3 victory on August 25 over North Bay at McCulley Robertson South Field 2 in Huntsville.
Andi Stevenson had a hat trick for Muskoka, with Olivea O’Halloran adding the other goal. At the time of this writing, Stevenson was tied for the league lead in goals with 19.
The U15 Girls final match is at Gostick Park on September 8 against Barrie and with the other teams in the division already done their seasons, Stevenson can win the scoring title with just a single goal in the match.
The U11 Girls picked up a huge 7-1 win over North Simcoe at Gostick Park on August 25. Mackenna Gibbons, Lily Burgess, and Charlotte Hall each scored twice, with Marlowe Kerr adding the other for Muskoka in the victory. Huntsville Adult Co-ed League
The Green Team finished off a fantastic year by winning the Huntsville Adult League championship in dramatic fashion – 4-3 in penalty kicks over the Blue Team after a 0-0 regular time draw.
Prior to the final, Green had trounced the White Team 3-0 in the semi-finals thanks with Rowan Simpson scoring twice in the win. Blue beat Red in the other final four match-up.
White ended up winning the third-place match 4-3 in penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
The Golden Boot winner was Zach Caplan with 11 goals, followed by Simpson with 10.
League coordinator Dave Caplan shared some overall thoughts on the 2025 summer season.
“From buzzer-beaters to blistering volleys, from last-minute heroics to exhausted defenders gasping on the sidelines, the league was a lesson in dedication, sportsmanship, and pure joy for the beautiful game,” says Caplan. “Sportsmanship was a standout quality. Respect for match officials, teammates, and opponents alike kept the league positive and competitive.”
