Significant Weather Event (SWE) has been lifted in the Township of Lake of Bays and the Town of Huntsville.
Crews at both municipalities worked hard in preparation for, during, and following the recent winter storm. The SWE was declared on Sunday and lifted on Tuesday.
With weather conditions improving, crews will return to regular service levels. Over the next few days in Huntsville, operations will focus on storm clean-up and snow removal from parking lots.
The District of Muskoka also lifted their significant weather event declaration on December 30, 2025 which pertained to all District roads.
The Town of Huntsville would thanks the community for their patience throughout the event.
