Meet the new faces of the Downtown Huntsville BIA

The Downtown Huntsville BIA has two friendly new faces coordinating the organization’s summer events and supporting downtown merchants.

Lizzie Robinson and Morgan Richter will share duties at the BIA office at 8 West Street while Executive Director Helena Renwick takes a leave of absence effective July 13, 2018.

Robinson is a graduate of the Music Theatre Performance Program at St. Lawrence College. Being a singer/dancer, she has become a leader and a positive team player. In the past, she has been involved with various Huntsville Festival of the Arts musicals and now works with them as a marketing assistant. She is a proud resident of Huntsville and comes back with a positive attitude toward keeping Huntsville as beautiful as it can be. She is extremely excited to work as a BIA Co-ordinator alongside her co-worker.

Richter grew up in Huntsville and has a deep connection with the community and a drive for creativity and community development. As an International Development graduate specializing in Rural and Agricultural Studies at the University of Guelph, her interests lie in empowering and bettering the lives of others. After graduating from university, Richter returned to Huntsville and spent a number of years helping build the Muskoka North Good Food Co-op. One of her primary responsibilities at the co-op was to develop connections with small business owners and agri-food producers to build a network of suppliers growing our local economy. While working at the Co-op, Richter started her own small-scale catering business, Lilac Local Source.

She is currently employed at the Huntsville Brewhouse where she enjoys working at a start up organization valuing our local economy. She is proud to call Huntsville her home and looks forward to working with local business owners helping our community thrive.
