This year it’s all about supporting healthcare services in the community as the recipients of the proceeds from the 2016 Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament were announced today.
Very pleased to be sharing in the proceeds are the Huntsville Hospital Foundation which will receive 50 per cent of the funds raised, and Christine’s Place and Community Living Huntsville sharing the remaining 50 per cent.
In making the announcement Mayor Scott Aitchison recognized the good work each of the charities does in the community. “All of these organizations are not only crucial but they continuously give so much to our community,” Aitchison said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to all of them.”
Aitchison also introduced the major sponsors who have already come on board and have contributed a significant portion of the $50,000 organizers hope the tournament will raise this year.
The title sponsor, once again, is Devonleigh Homes, pledging $10,000.
Returning Gold Sponsors are Lovegrove Construction and Tulloch Engineering. They are joined this year by Muskoka Lumber, each pledging $5,000.
At the Silver level is Fowler and Cayman Marshall International Realty for $3000 each.
Dino and Bessie Georgas of Family Place Restaurant have signed on as Bronze level sponsors with a $1000 donation.
The tournament takes place on Thursday September 15 and golfers may chose between either the Mark O’Meara course or the Grandview Inn course. For more information on sponsorship or registering a team contact Alison Withey at 705-789-7851 or email [email protected]. Or click here.
