HFA’s May Marché has new date and venue for 2016; early bird pricing available now

For the past ten years, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts has presented the May Marché as their principal annual fundraising event. A Marché is an evening of tasting great food and sampling fine wines, beers and liquors in an informal environment.

Past years have had the Marché on the Friday of the May long weekend. Increasingly this date was proving to be a challenge for the many food and beverage suppliers, so for 2016 the Marché will be held on Friday, May 27, the week following the holiday weekend.

To accommodate this change the Grandview Mark O’Meara clubhouse will host the Marché. Deerhurst has been an exceptional host these past years but the Marché committee is looking forward to celebrating this year’s event in the beautiful Grandview facility.

Confirmed restaurants include Deerhurst Resort, Grandview Resort, Spencer’s Tall Trees, Three Guys and a Stove, Bartlett Lodge, Hidden Valley Resort, On the Docks Pub, Boston Pizza, Mill On Main, Seven Main Café, The Norsemen, and the High School culinary program, who have participated the past 4 years.

For refreshments you will be able to choose from a variety of beers, select liquors, or pair up your food tastings with some very fine wine selections from California, South Africa, Argentina, and Canada’s Niagara Region.

In addition, there will be live music and a great Silent Auction table. All in all it should be a fun evening and serve its dual purpose as a key fundraising activity for the Festival and a kickoff for the 2016 summer season.

All-inclusive tickets are only $65 if purchased before May 1. They can be purchased at Treasures and Trophies on Main Street, Robinson’s Independent Grocer or at the Huntsville Chamber offices. And don’t forget about TEN! The Huntsville Festival and the Rotary Club of Huntsville present a celebration of ten years of musical theatre on the Algonquin Theatre stage. Enjoy songs and skits from Shrek, Seussical, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Jesus Christ Superstar, Annie, Aida, The Music Man, Guys & Dolls and The Drowsy Chaperone. A ‘Best of the Best’ evening, presented by 50 of the area’s finest actors and singers.
