Marlene Diane Robinson

Marlene passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge after a lengthy battle with Dementia. Marlene was 84.

Born August 25, 1940 in Barrie, ON to parent’s Jenny and Orville Dash, who predeceased her along with sister Lorraine and brother Bill.

Marlene went straight from high school to being a court reporter, where she worked for 35 years. That is how she met her best friend Brian (B.K.) Robinson, who was an O.P.P. officer, married him on March 26th, 1966, in Barrie. They were transferred to Huntsville in September 1970 and made it their home. They moved to Port Sydney for retirement.

Marlene was a lovely outgoing lady and a joy to be with. She loved travelling, the flower beds, golfing, the RV lifestyle, and wintering in Georgia for 25 years.

Marlene moved into the Alexander House in Gravenhurst in September 2024 for better care. The staff were caring and comforting to Marlene and Brian, and became an extended family.

Special thanks to Nancy LeBlanc and Norah Wilson for their company and support during Marlene’s last few days at the hospital.

Thanks to Dr. Krensky and nurses Ashley, Cindy, Kim, and all the rest of the staff for their wonderful care and compassion for Marlene in Bracebridge, it was awesome!

As per Marlene’s request, there will be no Funeral. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. www.mitchellfuneralhome.ca
