Local Star Trek fan club raises more than $5,000 for Hospice Huntsville

Space: the final frontier. These are the continuing missions of the USS Nomad, to seek out those in need of help, and to do what we can to make today better than yesterday…

The USS Nomad NCC 72382 – a Star Trek fan club is back in Huntsville and taking on missions to help the local community.

On August 5th, 2023, the group organized and completed the 2023 Ride for Hospice. This event was an organized motorcycle rally that included a 150 km ride as well as a BBQ and prizes. All proceeds were donated to Hospice Huntsville. A total of $5,435 was raised, quite impressive for the club’s first attempt at organizing an event of this magnitude.

Thank you to everyone involved in the community, as a sponsor, volunteer, or participant.
