Applications open for Lake of Bays youth programming fund

The Township of Lake of Bays is now accepting applications for the 2017 Youth Programming Fund.

Local community groups, sport organizations or individuals may apply for financial assistance to host events, activities or programs for youth under the age of 18.

Funding is subject to Council approval as part of the 2017 budget deliberations. If funding is approved, applications will be reviewed for the allocation of funds (also subject to Council approval).

Applications will be accepted until Friday, November 18, 2016, and will be assessed based on the following criteria:

• Community benefit to the Township of Lake of Bays
• Complements the vision of the Township of Lake of Bays
• Inclusion of education component
• Collaborative approach with community partners
• Project budget
• Sustainability of project
• Frequency of previous applications to the Youth Fund and amount(s) previously requested/awarded
• Type of organization (ie. non-profit)
