Wayback Wednesday 14 – Swing Bridge

It’s Wayback Wednesday: Marina memories

Welcome to Wayback Wednesday sponsored by Cavalcade Color Lab! Every week, we’ll be sharing a vintage photo and asking our readers to chime in with anything you can recall about the photo, other related memories, or even a funny caption. Have some vintage photos of your own? Send them to [email protected] and we may share them with our readers! Scroll waaaaay down to see last week’s photo.

This week’s image, courtesy of Muskoka Digital Archives, shows a view of the swing bridge from the Hart House – much different than what we see today. Can you guess the date?

Blackburn’s marina maybe somewhere in the 60’s?

the time when marina’s were actually located on waterfront and boats were more affordable than today and quite a bit smaller too. You can bet none of the boats in those days had sound systems in them!
