Last week we shared this photo with you:

Marg Weiland shared with us: “On the left, part of the sign for the Chinese laundry, next was Dr. Davies home and office on the ground floor. I remember the Shell station on the corner of Brunel and across Brunel it was either McGregor’s Hardware, or Huntsville Hardware, depending on the year in question. On the right is J.R. Boyd & Son, grocery store and next to that Wardell’s department store. All family owned businesses and they were all in business for a good many years. I remember that next to the hardware store, a liquor store [LCBO] was squeezed in before the A&P. My memory of Main Street began in 1940. This is an older photo, I think, although we did see old model Fords [T?] then too.”
