It’s Wayback Wednesday: Then and now

Welcome to Wayback Wednesday sponsored by Cavalcade Color Lab! Every week, we’ll be sharing a vintage photo and asking our readers to chime in with anything you can recall about the photo, other related memories, or even a funny caption. Have some vintage photos of your own? Send them to [email protected] and we may share them with our readers!

This week, a then and now comparison. What differences do you see? Can you guess the date of the original photo? (Top image courtesy of the Muskoka Heritage Place Collection.)

Last week we shared this photo with you:

Many of the Doppler readers who chimed in correctly guessed that these cars are headed south on Brunel Road. The date we have for this photo is 1920.

David Johns said: Looks like mid 1920s. Everyone is headed to Memorial Park for a baseball game. (Could be, David! There’s a previous Wayback Wednesday photo like that here if anyone wants to see.)

Sherwood MacLeod added: It is Brunel yes, going past where Dawson glass was towards Lansdowne, Veterans Way now.
