It’s Wayback Wednesday: Procession

Welcome to Wayback Wednesday sponsored by Cavalcade Color Lab! Every week, we’ll be sharing a vintage photo and asking our readers to chime in with anything you can recall about the photo, other related memories, or even a funny caption. Have some vintage photos of your own? Send them to [email protected] and we may share them with our readers!

In this week’s image, a procession of cars drive down an early Huntsville road. Do you know which road this is? Can you guess the date of this photo? (The cars should give you a clue!)

Last week we shared this photo with you:

This is Dr. Howland’s General Hospital, which sat at the corner of Main Street East and John Street, where there is a parking lot today.

Muskoka Digital Archives notes that the hospital was built in 1893, and expanded in 1895-1896. The building accommodated 100 patients and had elevators. Dr. Howland died in 1916 and the building was torn down in March 1920.

A postmark on this photo reads October 22, 1907.

Brunel Rd mid 1920’s. Looks like all the nice cars are heading to Memorial Park to watch a baseball game.
