CineMuskoka Film Festival is back for its second year this Labour Day weekend, August 27 to September 2—a celebration of Canadian filmmaking set in the quintessential summer cottage country of Huntsville Ontario.

The CineMuskoka Film Festival spotlights up-and-coming filmmakers, and provides audiences with an intimate experience where they can meet and talk to the creators after their screenings.
New this year is the CineMuskoka Youth Spotlight program. The festival will screen films from Muskokans under the age of 19 on Thursday, August 30 in River Mill Park. Awards will be given out for top films, with a prize of a DSLR camera for the best of the fest.
There will also be a virtual realty (VR) film installation at the Algonquin Theatre in Partners Hall from August 31 to September 2. Audiences will be able to put on state-of-the-art virtual reality goggles and experience experimental and narrative VR projects.

who will be creating the awards for this years festival.
The award ceremony will be open to the public and will be held Sunday, September 2 at 7 p.m. at the Algonquin
Theatre.
