A Huntsville man is facing a hefty fine after his erratic driving on the streets of Bracebridge.
Bradley Cumber, 34, recently appeared in a Bracebridge courtroom for sentencing on charges of driving with over 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system.
Court heard on Aug 19, 2024, at roughly 11 p.m., Cumber had been drinking alcohol when he became involved in an altercation with another individual. After leaving, he got into his vehicle and began doing donuts in the street, which led to calls from several concerned members of the public.
The police found Cumber’s vehicle unoccupied on Hwy 117 and were able to locate him a short time later. At the time, Cumber was barefoot and had the keys to the vehicle in his pocket.
Held in custody, Cumber was disruptive, flooding his cell with water from the sink, court heard.
He ultimately blew readings of 200 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, more than twice the limit.
The court heard Cumber has been convicted on similar charges before.
He was fined $5,000 and received an 18-month driving ban, as well as 18 months of probation.
