A Freezing Rain Warning by Environment Canada continues for the Town of Huntsville for March 11, forecasting a prolonged period of freezing rain with ice buildup of 5 to 10 mm throughout the day until this evening.
Public Works crews have been performing winter maintenance operations on primary roads and sidewalks, making their way to secondary routes. Residents and visitors are asked to avoid non-essential travel and monitor weather and local news channels for updates as conditions may change throughout the day.
Please be advised of the following facility and program updates:
- Town Hall and the Huntsville Public Library will be closed to the public this morning and will reopen at noon.
- The Planning Council Meeting at 1:00pm will proceed as scheduled. Residents are encouraged to join virtually. Please view the agenda Town of Huntsville – Document Center for details on how to join. Or watch the meeting remotely Live Stream Meetings | Town of Huntsville.
- Canada Summit Centre is open
- Town of Huntsville programming will continue as planned, however cancellations may occur. Residents are encouraged to call customer service at 705-789-6421 in advance of their scheduled program.
