Huntsville’s very own giving trees

Huntsville residents young and old enthusiastically harvested apples at Orchard Park during the annual Apple Picking Festival on August 27. The edible forest in Hunsville’s West end is maintained by a passionate group of volunteers who prune and graft existing fruit trees, remove dead wood and invasive species, and plant new, zone-hardy fruit trees and bushes. The festival is an annual event held every August and is open to all members of the public.
