The community spared no effort in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka’s 6th annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraising campaign. The bowling events in Huntsville and Bracebridge raised more than $22,000 to support mentorship in Muskoka.
And the momentum continued to take off when the agency raffled off a pair of round-trip plane tickets donated by WestJet Cares for Kids. Thanks to all who supported the fundraiser and helped us raise $6200 for mentorship in Muskoka. Lucky winner, David Knowles, received two free, round-trip tickets compliments of WestJet.
Between these two fundraisers, the agency raised over $28,000 in support of its mentorship programs for youth in Muskoka. Staff and board members were thrilled with the results and share the importance of the community support they receive.
“Fund development in the not-for-profit sector is becoming increasingly competitive so our agency relies, more than ever, on the support from the community in Muskoka,” said BBBS of Muskoka Executive Director Rebecca Paul. “We are so honoured to have been embraced the way we have and we strive to continue offering the highest level of mentorship programs for local youth.”
