On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:03 a.m., Huntsville OPP, Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department, and Muskoka Ambulance were dispatched to a house fire at 43 West Street S in Huntsville.
Upon police arrival, 43 West Street S was fully engulfed in flames. Fire and EMS were already on scene. All occupants were out of the residences.
The fire was believed to have started on the north east side of the 43 West Street S home. Unfortunately, as the fire grew, it caught the side of the adjacent residence, causing extensive damage to it as well.
Huntsville OPP are engaged in an investigation of this fire and are asking the general public for any information or video footage of the beginning of the fire, not the fully engulfed structure, that could assist their investigation.
As the investigation is in the early stages, there is no further information available.
