Huntsville Lions and The Door join forces to bring you open mic nights

The Huntsville Lions Club and The Door have joined forces to bring community members open mic nights the last Tuesday of every month.

“This is something that we’ve been wanting to do for some time, is to do an open mic because we have a lot of talent in our area, and we should be utilizing that and giving kids somewhere to show their talent,” said Huntsville Lions Club Secretary/Treasurer Bill Hobman. “And so this is the whole reason for it, is to try and get our youth more involved in things.”

Hobman said families, kids, and anyone who wants to do something musical or tell jokes (clean jokes) are invited.

“The idea is to bring the community together. There’s no charge to the event for anybody,” said Hobman, adding that there will be opportunities to make donations, and all proceeds will go to support The Door Youth Centre initiatives.
