With the recent addition of Bickley Ford and Tasso Lake Heating Solutions to its Business Cares program, Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF) needs just nine more local businesses to join to reach its goal of raising one million dollars.
The program celebrated its one-year anniversary in February. The idea is a simple one: 40 businesses each pledge to donate $5,000 per year for five years, which allows the foundation to plan ahead to fund equipment purchases at Huntsville’s hospital.
Currently, the businesses that support Business Cares are: Algonquin Outfitters, Bickley Ford, BDO Huntsville, Capstone Ventures/Petro Canada, CCV Insurance & Pipefusion Inc., Coldwell Banker Thompson Real Estate, CottageVacations.com, Drive Muskoka, Family Restaurant & Pizza, Greystone, Harrower Properties Inc., HLD Corporation, Hutcheson Sand & Gravel, Kawartha Credit Union, Kimberly-Clark Inc., MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust, McIlroy Insurance Brokers, McLeish Orlando LLP, Muskoka Rock, Northern Disposal & Sanitation, On the Docks Pub, RBC Royal Bank, Rolston’s Home Building Centre, Shoppers Drug Mart Huntsville, SML Contracting Ltd., Sunrise Centre Dental (Drs John & Sharon Koncan), Tasso Lake Heating Solutions Inc., TD Canada Trust, The Hunt House Fine Jewellery, The Sarjeant Co. Ltd., and Titanium Transportation Group Inc.
Campaign chair, Pat Dubé, oversees the initiative with committee members Chantelle Armstrong and John Crockett.
Business Cares complements the Foundation’s other fundraising efforts, including individual donors, planned giving and fundraising events like the upcoming, second annual After Party.
This year’s After Party – Denim and Diamonds – will feature country artist Jason McCoy and local musicians Paul Lagendyk and Tobin Spring, gourmet food, sweet treats from Whimsical Bakery, and beer from Muskoka Brewery. (See details below.) The fun gets underway at 7 p.m. on May 27 at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area – get your tickets while they last.
