Huntsville Horticultural Society invites you to celebrate its 100th Anniversary

The Huntsville Horticultural Society is holding a Special 100th Anniversary celebration and you’re invited.

The event takes place on April 26 at 10 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church in Huntsville. Tickets are $10 and will include a key note speaker and cake!

Gardener and horticulturalist Sean James will give a presentation, Appetite for Gardening: Incorporating Edible Plants into a Traditional Landscape.

Many home gardeners want to grow more of their own food, but they often relegate edible plants to the outskirts of the garden.

James will focus on the fact that many fruits and veggies, such as eggplant, rhubarb, and kale, are beautiful and offer wonderful texture and colour! He will talk about growing vines (beans, squash, tomatoes) on trellises and espaliering fruit trees, which can be a great way to use vertical surfaces to enhance your landscape and pantry.
