To Bill Beatty and others. The Muskoka toxic waste drop off events are published well in advance every year. The emails are just a last minute reminder. See : https://www.muskoka.on.ca/en/garbage-and-recycling/household-hazardous-waste-drop-off.aspx#Huntsville

Mr. Clarke, how many batteries do you consume for this to be such a problem. Perhaps you should consider rechargeable batteries. Larger upfront investment but would rid you of such a large collection of used batteries.
Perhaps you should consider at Tesla for your drives to the battery recycle centre!

Will Muskoka District place green battery recycle bins at Summit Centre and other arenas? Peel Region has them at leisure centres.
Who wants to drive klcs to drop off used batteries?

  4. Martin Rutledge says:

Why can’t all communities in Muskoka have year round hazardous waste disposal? Seems like a simple, low cost, green strategy that would prevent storage of volatile chemicals in our households and encourage responsibile disposal. Come on politicians, you can make that happen with no effort but big effects.

Checked My email at 2:09 PM. Just in time to find out hazardous waste drop-off had closed.
A week’s notice on this event would have been appreciated from the Town or Doppler in order to collect and organize the waste for transport !!!!!!
