Hospice Huntsville staff, volunteers and supporters kicked off the 13th annual Purple Boot Campaign in support of palliative care and grief counselling in the community.
These iconic purple boots, displayed at local businesses and organizations, not only help raise funds but also increase awareness of Hospice Huntsville and the importance of end-of-life care in our area.
The 2026 campaign launched on March 13, with over 40 purple boots being displayed in the community until May 31.
The launch of the Purple Boot Campaign signifies that spring and the annual Hike for Hospice Huntsville are just around the corner.
Hospice Huntsville will be celebrating its 17th year of the Hike. The Hike for Hospice is an opportunity to remember and honour those we have lost while connecting with the support of our community. This year’s Hike is on Sunday, May 3, and will once again take place at the scenic Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve
All proceeds (100%) of the Purple Boot Campaign donations go towards the Hike for Hospice Huntsville goal of $60,000. Online donations can be made through: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/PurpleBootforHospiceHuntsville
Hospice Huntsville provides compassionate end-of-life care to residents and their families in the setting of their choice. All services are offered at no charge to the community.
