What could be better than snowshoeing, bonfires, and good food?
Snowshoe Canada and the Tawingo Outdoor Centre will be hosting a fun outdoor event on Saturday, February 25th called the “Gourmet Marché Snowshoe Tour”. All profits from the event will go to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
The event will take place at the Tawingo Outdoor Centre (1844 Ravenscliffe Road). Guests can purchase tickets online. Tickets are limited, and organizers expect to sell out. Early Bird Rates are available until February 3rd at $50 ($60 regular rate) for adults; teens 13-17, $25 ($30 regular rate) and infants 3 and under get in for free.
In this family-friendly event, participants snowshoe along a marked trail and visit five food stations, hosted by local chefs! Food will be served along the trail from 2 pm to 5 pm. The winter tubing hill will also be open throughout the day, and there will be bonfires where participants can warm up and socialize around a fire. Public washrooms are available at the heated lodge— Laughton Hall. “This is the second time we’ve hosted the event, and it’s a super fun way to support the Huntsville Hospital Foundation!” notes Sarah Vanasse, Tawingo Outdoor Centre coordinator.
