Don’t miss the opportunity to check out the little market with a lot of heart. What’s unique about the weekly event is that everything being sold has been produced within 100 kilometres of the market. Local vendors sell everything from their organic, homegrown veggies to locally-produced sweet treats like maple syrup and a fascinating array of arts and crafts. The 100km Farm, Fresh and Homemade Market takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on West Street South, beside Trinity United Church.
- Peggy Firth, far left, and Cherl Bessey check out some of Amy Todd’s handmade goods, at one of the 100K Markets held on Saturdays during the summer months.
- Chris Nobel of Birchill Farms helps Maureen Collins pick the perfect greens.
- Annie Bliss, left, is one of the event coodinators.
