The soccer community is rallying together to support one of its members.
Members of the board of the Huntsville Soccer Club and the Muskoka United Football Club as well as friends and family have created a GoFundMe campaign to help their fried and teammate, Graham Pollington and his family, through a difficult medical diagnosis.
“We are very sorry to report that Graham Pollington has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. This will no doubt be a shock to many of us in the Muskoka soccer community. As a result of this diagnosis, Graham and his family are facing some hefty immediate expenses and some long term expenses too. We want to help,” reads the GoFundMe campaign.
“Many of us know Graham for his many amazing qualities and characteristics. Be it as a supporter of Liverpool FC, a wonderful player, the HSC treasurer, a referee and field scheduler, and the person who quietly gets things done behind the scenes with equipment repairs and other necessary duties.

“Perhaps his best volunteer work is as Coach Graham, the passionate and committed coach for the Huntsville Soccer Club, and most recently the MUFC U15 Girls team.”
According to the organizers, while Graham, his wife Sam, and his daughter Kate appreciate the support, they are asking for some privacy while they navigate these new challenges.
