Figure skating champions Kurt Browning and Alissa Czisny will offer special figure skating events during the 2026 Ontario 55+ Winter Games, being held in Huntsville and the surrounding area this February.
There will be several open events, where all skill levels are welcome, and figure skating with the pros is one of them.
Adult figure skating is a graceful and expressive sport that blends athleticism with artistry on the ice. Skaters perform a combination of jumps, spins, footwork, and choreography to music, showcasing both skill and creativity.
Again, this event is open to skaters of all experience levels. Adult figure skating encourages personal growth, confidence, and enjoyment while promoting fitness and flexibility.
To register, participants must be 55 or older, be a member of the Ontario Senior Games Association ($15), and pay a registration fee of $75. The fee covers two days of figure skating fun at the Burk’s Falls Memorial Arena with Kurt Browning, Alissa Czisny, and judging by Elizabeth Manley! Meals are covered as well as attendance at the Opening Ceremonies, Celebrity Skate Show, and dinner out on Wednesday night in Downtown Huntsville! It’s a bargain, but registration is required.
The event takes place on February 4 and 5, 2026. More details to follow. This is a great way to meet other seniors and shine with the stars on the ice.
Registration deadline is Dec. 15, 2025. First, register to become an Ontario Senior Games Association member HERE. Once you register you will be directed to all events.
