Book Launch: Secrets of the Shield (Lake of Bays Library)

Middle-grade fantasy adventures often take place in faraway lands. Brian Kelsall’s Secrets of the Shield presents a battle for the soul of Earth, fought among the lakes, forests and ancient rock of Muskoka Lakes and Killarney.

When eleven-year-old Sam meets an Ojibwe girl named Wing and an order of noble creatures, he is drawn into a quest to seal a breach in the Canadian Shield before an ancient evil force can escape.
