Description: Significant rainfall continues today.

Hazard: Additional rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 mm.

Timing: Continuing into tonight.

Discussion: Periods of rain will continue through tonight. Over areas of higher terrain, rain may mix with or transition to snow overnight. Precipitation is expected to end on Saturday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Environment Canada and Climate Change has issued a Special Weather Statement for South River – Burk’s Falls, Parry Sound – Muskoka.

Significant rainfall tonight through Friday morning.

Hazard: Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 45 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible for areas that receive thunderstorms.

Timing: Continuing through tonight, then tapering to showers Friday morning.

Discussion: Periods of rain will continue through tonight. There is a low risk of thunderstorms later this evening and overnight. For any areas that receive thunderstorms, rainfall amounts may approach 50 mm locally by Friday morning. Rain is expected to taper to showers through Friday morning. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
