Edna Sally Anne (Jensen) Sluman

Edna Sally Anne (Jensen) Sluman, fondly known as “Sal Gal”, passed peacefully with family by her side on September 29, 2023, at Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst after a long and difficult journey through Alzheimer’s.  Our Sal Gal is finally at peace and for that we are grateful.

Sally was born in Gravenhurst, Ontario to Emil and Ruby Jensen on October 3, 1937.

Sally met and married the love of her life, William George Sluman, on November 29, 1958. Together they raised three children in Huntsville, Ontario. Sadly, after over 50 years of marriage, George passed away on December 25, 2008.

Sally is survived by her three children; John (Barb) Sluman, Lee (Mike) Fraser, and Tim (Sonia) Sluman. Also survived by brother, Paul Jensen and sister, Janet (Ken) Maw. Nana to Billy (Rhowena), Brady, Jamie-Lynn (Elliot), Linda (Sam), Shawn (Laura), Adrian (Madison), Justin, Christopher (Haily), Molly, and Griffin.  Great Nana to Sophia, Georgia, Darwin, Briar, Rhett, Jordan, Arlo, and Jack. Georgia, Darwin, Briar, Rhett, Jordan, Rhea, Arlo, and Jack.

Sally is predeceased by brothers Ken, Torben, and Peter Jensen, sister-in-law Marion (Paul) Jenson, and brothers-in-law Joe (Isabel) and Carmen (Marnie).

Sal Gal will always be remembered as the life of the party and had a radiant smile for everyone she met.  She will have a lasting impact on her nieces, nephews and grandchildren after having taught them all many singsongs around the campfire.

Thank you to Muskoka Shores for your gentle care for the last 14 years.
