Huntville made history in May of 1970 when this photo ran in the Toronto Star. The cutline read that it was Canada’s largest paper dryer. This photo by Frank Lennon shows a 116-ton, 15-foot-high drum being unloaded from a barge at Pier 35 in Toronto Harbour. U.S.-made; the dryer was shipped by barge along the Erie Canal, then by rail to the Kimberly-Clark paper plant in Huntsville.
