Don’t forget – biweekly garbage collection resumes Oct 31

Starting the week of October 31, garbage collection switches to the winter schedule in Muskoka.

During the winter schedule, sorted recycling and green bins continue to be collected every week. These programs continue weekly year-round, in an effort to keep recyclable materials from entering Muskoka landfills.

The “Waste Wizard” tool on the District of Muskoka website – www.muskokarecycles.ca – is a great resource that will assist you in understanding how to dispose of various products and recycling materials. Simply type an item or product into the search bar, and the tool will advise if it is recyclable, compostable or destined for the landfill.
