October 6, 1952 – July 29, 2025
Dan was born in North Bay and raised in Marten River, ON. After a short but valiant battle with cancer, it is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dan, peacefully, at age 72 in Port Carling, with his loving wife, Judith Grace, by his side.
Dan is also survived by his children, Dana Frances Séguin, Krista Whitney Séguin and Rory Daniel Séguin. He was predeceased by his parents Gilles Séguin and Irene Séguin (nee Dywanick) as well as siblings D’Arcy Séguin and Claudette Priatel.
He loved his extended family including the whole Dano clan and stepdaughters Charlotte Sibbitt and Stephanie (Bernard) Antinucci. He also held the royal title of ‘Danpa’to his step-grandchildren Annebelle Antinucci and Dalis Antinucci.
Dan was always willing to lend a hand; he loved life and the adventures that came with it. He enjoyed seeing new places, snowmobiling, fishing, dirt bike riding, mountain biking, long motorcycle rides off road, and quiet mornings sitting on the deck observing nature with loved ones.
He was devoted to his family and friends. He volunteered with the Salvation Army Kettle campaign
at Christmas and always had a wicked sense of humour right up to the end.
Dan had a lifelong career with the Ontario Northland Railway. Upon retiring, he was a Quality
Assurance Inspector.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling. The
compassion and care they provided for Dan was above and beyond. Donations in Dan’s memory may be made to Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling.
