A Bracebridge court recently heard how a Huntsville man’s anger spilled over into death threats towards several staff members of a local taxi cab company.
On Tuesday, Robert Noftall, 58, pleaded guilty to threatening death.
A Bracebridge court heard that a local taxi company denied Noftall service because someone with him was waiting for the result of a COVID test.
Noftall became irate and threatened to kill the dispatcher. He then said he was coming to the taxi cab office and asked what the dispatcher’s name was so he would know who to kill when he got there.
Court heard he also called other staff members from the company, including the owner of the company, and threatened to kill him as well. The office was locked up for safety and police were called.
The court heard that Noftall has a criminal record and he was given a suspended sentence and 18 months of probation.
