How much did your Lake of Bays councillors make in 2021?

The Township of Lake of Bays has released remuneration data for council for 2021, as required by the Ontario Municipal Act.

Included in the amounts below are $1,144.40 for health spending and insurance and a $500 technology allowance for each member of council. Each received $660.76 for other expenses, with the exception of Mayor Terry Glover who received $2,308.80, and Councillor Michael Peppard who received $705.76.

Total council remuneration for 2021 was:

*Mayor Terry Glover – $51,710.34
*Deputy Mayor Bob Lacroix – $26,210.57
Councillor Nancy Tapley – $23,129.29
*Councillor Michael Peppard – $22,405.89
Councillor Rick Brooks – $22,360.89
Councillor Jacqueline Godard – $22,360.89
Councillor George Anderson – $22,360.89

Total – $190,538.77

*Three councillors⁠—Mayor Glover, Deputy Mayor Lacroix, and Councillor Peppard⁠—also sit on District Council and received additional remuneration of $22,290 in 2021 for those roles.
