On July 1st, River Mill Park will come alive with entertainment, vendors, and family-friendly festivities, bringing together people from all backgrounds to celebrate Canada’s rich history, culture, and achievements. This highly anticipated event is organized in collaboration with the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Huntsville BIA and offers an incredible opportunity to connect with friends, neighbours and community members.

Hopefully the Park can be put back into shape before this July 1st event. What about seasonal May/June events?. An amazing (IMO) amount of work went into creating / setting up the small skating rink, and now tearing it down and putting all the hundreds (or thousands) of pieces into storage is underway. This ‘state of art’ refrigerated rink only drew a small number of skaters, though I am sure the mostly younger tykes enjoyed their time there. I admire creativity and those willing to take on such a challenge. Will the Park be useable, ie: new grass/sod replacing the current muddy surface etc, by May (next month!) when outdoor events normally get underway?
