The Huntsville Festival of the Arts is inviting artist proposals for the 10th annual Nuit Blanche North on July 23rd, 2022.
For one night only, the streets will come alive with an exciting program of free contemporary artistic activities, events, and exhibits taking place in unconventional places in and around Huntsville’s downtown core. Thousands flooded the streets in 2019, and HfA expects that number to grow again this year.
The 2022 theme is CONNECT.
“The global pandemic has interrupted so many connections in our society and lives. As we move forward, navigating the seemingly uncertain world we live in, the need and desire for connection is greater than ever,” the HfA noted in its call for artists. “We invite projects that respond to the notion of connection: the opportunities, approaches and mediums we use to connect with each other and the environment around us. We are particularly interested in projects that involve participation of community members or visitors to the event. Priority will be given to those projects which explore this theme in relationship to the Muskoka/Parry Sound region.”
