The Town of Huntsville’s user fees for building services and bylaws may remain largely unchanged for 2017. At the November 30 General Committee meeting, Derrick Hammond, the Town’s Executive Director of Development Services told committee that there are no proposed changes in Building Services fees for 2017. Building Services fees include permits for construction and demolition, change of use and sewage systems.
Hammond said that there are only inflationary increases proposed for bylaw fees in 2017. According to the schedule presented, annual and lifetime dog tags would increase by 10 per cent to $11 and $33 respectively and some business licensing fees would increase.Taxi licensing and lottery licensing would remain the same under the proposed schedule.
General Committee will be meeting next on January 9 to discuss the 2017 budget.
